LostAlone, formed in 2005, is a real up and coming band on the national and international rock scene. Originating from Derby the band quickly gained a strong fanbase touring with the likes of Paramore, My Chemical Romance and 30 Seconds to Mars with the debut album, Say No to the World, (2007) receiving extremely positive reviews from fans and critics alike. Nominate for “Best British Newcomer” 2007 Kerrang! Awards the bands second studio album I’m a UFO in This City (2012) lead the NME to comment that “it can only be a matter of time before this unabashed explosion of deadly hooks, dirty riffs and lighter aloft ballads regularly sell out stadiums” – with such praise no doubt we will be seeing a lot more of LostAlone over the next few years on the national scene. One to keep your eye on.

Kevin Coyne has had a dramatic influence on some of your favourite musicians, even if you haven't heard of him yourself. The likes of Sting from The Police have noted Coyne as one of his major musical influences, with Andy Kershaw describing Coyne as "a national treasure" possessing one of the best British male voices of all time. A prolific writer Coyne recorded over 40 albums, relocating in 1985 to Nuremberg Germany where he became a well-known artist. His life was plagued with alcoholism and depression, something that Coyne reveals deeply in his songs, exposing some of the most personal parts of his life within his music. A true musician Coyne wasn't interested in the fame or money, he simply loved writing, yet he influenced the sound of much of the music heard in the 70s and 80s. One of Derby's great musicians.

Anti-Pasti was a popular punk band in the late 70s and early 80s forming part of the third punk wave. Hailing from Derby the band quickly gained a large fanbase nationally having supported the likes of The Clash. Indeed their first album The Last Call reached number 31 in the UK album charts with the lead single Six Guns, reaching number one in the UK Indie Chart. Anti-Pasti began to support the Dead Kennedy’s and Flipside during the American tour gaining the following year catapulting the band into the international limelight, yet in 1984 the band disbanded and quickly fell from fame and are now almost forgotten despite at one stage looking like being the next Clash.
